Bjorn Nielsen has raised the prospect of sending his staying legend Stradivarius on a first trip to Ireland for a third face off with Kyprios in the Irish St Leger at the Curragh next month.

The owner is considering paying the €50,000 fee to add Stradivarius to the race on September 11 after he was forced to miss the Group 2 Lonsdale Cup at York last week.

Nielsen was in Newmarket on Friday morning to keep tabs on the eight-year-old, as well as the other talent he has in training with John and Thady Gosden.
