A commitment by management to drive more punters to the Ffos Las betting ring and keep the spectre of industry Starting Prices (SPs) at arm’s length has helped assuage bookmakers angered by the surprise entry of Britbet into the ring at the Welsh course.

Last week bookmakers voiced their frustration at Britbet being handed two prime pitches in the Ffos Las betting ring for 2020 making it the first racecourse Britbet, which had previously focused solely on pool betting and racecourse betting shops, would be present in the ring.

However, following a meeting between key figures at Arena Racing Company (Arc) and a delegation of bookmakers on Sunday, all parties agreed to work together to promote a robust and more vibrant betting atmosphere at the course.
