Ffos Las bookies fume as Britbet make surprise move into betting ring

A surprise new player has moved into the British betting ring after racecourse pool and betting shop operator Britbet were handed two prime slots at Ffos Las for 2020 in what could amount to a precursor of a greater on-course presence from the firm.

However, the action taken by the track’s owner Arena Racing Company (Arc) has angered longstanding bookmakers at the Welsh venue.

They feel they have been treated poorly by management after being given limited notice of the decision, and having to bid for their positions next year without being able to tender for two of the most prominent positions.
