Stradivarius in tune for bid to land Lonsdale Cup for a third time

Friday’s Group 2 Lonsdale Cup at York used to be the end of the rainbow for the talismanic chestnut but there will be no £1 million bonus to collect this time around. The seven-year-old must have been up the Al Bahathri more times than a Jockey Club tractor over the years and completed his prep in smooth fashion on the in-demand Polytrack facility.
