Robbie Power believes The Big Breakaway would win the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase in a normal year. The problem, however, is that he knows this is no normal year and Monkfish is no normal novice.

The Big Breakaway was outjumped by Shan Blue all the way up the home straight in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton over Christmas, but Power is convinced he has learned a lot from that experience.

Power said: "We think he has learned an awful lot from Kempton. I genuinely believe if he jumped a bit better up the home straight he would have won.
