Scudamore delighted at Nunthorpe success on Wonder

The first staging of this self-funded fixture at York drew a crowd of just over 38,500, most of which were presumably in attendance to see Olly Murs rather than the inaugural running of the jump jockeys' Nunthorpe.

Tell that to Tom Scudamore. His reaction on making all aboard the Paul Midgley-trained Tylery Wonder would not have been matched had he won the Nunthorpe itself.

Of his wave back to his colleagues, Scudamore said: "That was just a bit of taking the Mick, obviously. We've been talking about this for weeks and it's great to have a winner here."
