No alarm as fragile Call The Cops wins for first time since the 2015 Festival
When Call The Cops won the Pertemps Final for Nicky Henderson and owners Matt and Lauren Morgan as a six-year-old at the 2015 Cheltenham Festival the world seemed his oyster.
In contrast to Presenting Percy, who won the same race at the same age two years later, went on to win last year's RSA Chase and is a leading fancy to make it a hat-trick of Festival wins in the Magners-sponsored Gold Cup next month, Call The Cops did not progress.
Admittedly he was runner-up at Aintree on his next outing, but after changing hands for £220,000 in May that year, his career went down rather than up, and his win in the 3m handicap hurdle here off his greatly reduced mark of 102 was his first since that March afternoon.
