National hero One For Arthur draws bumper crowd for parade
Saturday's Grand National winner One For Arthur got a fantastic reception from the bumper crowd as he paraded before the opening race.
The attendance of 2,500 was 500 up on last year, and among them were trainer Lucinda Russell and jockey Derek Fox, returning to the day job with six runners and three rides respectively.
As One For Arthur was clapped around the parade ring, Fox entered carrying the Grand National trophy and said: "I feel like I've been floating around since I crossed the line and I've never had a moment to myself. But I wouldn't change a thing, it's terrific. People haven't stopped congratulating me and it's great to see him so fresh today."
