Defi has tools to dictate two-mile chase division after Tingle Creek win

It was billed as a thriller but the closing stages of the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase provided one of the most pulsating finishes in the recent history of the race, with the new kid on the block Defi Du Seuil holding off the late rally of the veteran former winner Un De Sceaux.
The Philip Hobbs-trained winner was posting his sixth Grade 1 victory and is now a 4-1 chance (from 7) with Paddy Power for the Queen Mother Champion Chase – and even that revised price could seem value come March.
However, before going in with some hard-earned cash at those odds, it is worth bearing in mind that he is likely to have an alternative entry in the Ryanair Chase at the meeting and it is just over three months until the festival.
