Voting has opened for the coveted annual Racing Post Readers' Award, staged in conjunction with the Racecourse Association Showcase & Awards to recognise outstanding customer service at British racecourses.

Racing Post readers and social media followers have until September 28 to nominate up to five different racecourse experiences which they have particularly enjoyed visiting over the last year. The person making the winning submission will be treated to a VIP day out at the course in question.

The Racing Post Readers' Award, now in its sixth year, was won last year by Fontwell, following a record number of submissions by racegoers keen to share their accounts of exceptional customer service.

This year's winner will be announced at the RCA Showcase & Awards at Aintree on November 8, during a ceremony celebrating racecourse excellence and innovation across 13 awards ranging from food and beverage to groundstaff champion, and culminating in the overall Showcase champion being crowned.

RCA brand and experience manager Paul Swain said: "The RCA is pleased to continue this valued partnership with the Racing Post to offer the Racing Post Readers’ Award, one of the most desirable awards to win at the Showcase as, uniquely, it is voted for by racegoers.

"The Racing Post readership has provided some heartwarming stories of fantastic service at British racecourses over the past few years and, as ever, we look forward to being mightily impressed with the levels of service on offer at our racecourses."

Racing Post chief marketing officer Louise Agran added: "We are delighted to be once again supporting an award that enables our readers and followers to share their experiences as racegoers, and we look forward to recognising those racecourses who go above and beyond in looking after their customers."
