A prize fund of £20,000 has ensured that this handicap chase over an extended two miles six furlongs is more than just a repechage for yesterday's Summer Plate at Market Rasen.
Among the 11 declared runners are Ballykan, who earlier this year at Kempton was fourth in the race that was formerly called the Racing Post Chase, useful summer stalwart Standing Ovation and former Grand National hope Twirling Magnet.
