Lord Glitters all the rage on day two of Glorious Goodwood
The start of Goodwood may have been far from glorious yesterday but the outlook is much improved for day two and the rest of the week.
There was 2.2mm of rain on day one with just a further 0.2mm overnight, resulting in the ground remaining good for Sussex Stakes day.
Clerk of the course Ed Arkell said: "It's certainly brighter than it was yesterday and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny spells and a gentle breeze. The ground dropped back to good yesterday and we've left it the same overnight."
There has been a key non-runner in the opening Unibet Goodwood Handicap (1.50) with The Grand Visir taken out.
Queen Anne winner Lord Glitters has been backed into 11-2 (from 7) in the Sussex Stakes and Mighty Spirit's odds have contracted into 2-1 (from 9-4) for the 5f fillies' conditions stakes at 4.10.
