'It's probably the first time all season she's got her proper ground'
Saturday: 4.30 Gowran Park
Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes (Group 3) | 1m1½f | 3yo+ | RTV
Dermot Weld won this Group 3 with Brooch in 2014 and he is doubly represented seven years on with Emaniya and Zawara.
Champion jockey Colin Keane, who could have headed to Ayr to ride Firth of Clyde favourite Head Mistress, has decided to stay on home soil and renew his acquaintance with the 100-rated Emaniya, who chased home the smart Mehnah in a Listed race at Killarney in July.
She does, however, have a length and a quarter to make up on Solene Lilyette from their clash over course and distance last month. That form will not be easily reversed.
Zawara is back out again quickly having produced a career-best effort in the Group 3 Paddy Power Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.
She may only have finished fourth but looked the most likely winner entering the final furlong and traded at a low of 1.35 in running on the Betfair Exchange.
Elysium had a terrific two-year-old campaign, winning the Group 3 Weld Park Stakes on her final start as a juvenile, and was snapped up by George Strawbridge.
She was too keen on her return at Ascot in July when last of seven in a Group 3 but the best of her two-year-old form would make her a formidable filly in this line-up. She should not be dismissed lightly and conditions will be in her favour.
Joseph O'Brien and Jessica Harrington saddle three runners but perhaps the most likely winner is April Showers for Donnacha O'Brien. She chased home Insinuendo in the Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes on her most recent outing in July.
What they say
Joseph O'Brien, trainer of So I Told You, Lovely Esteem and Sense Of Style
Lovely Esteem has been performing very well this season. She's consistent but she wouldn't want much rain. Sense Of Style had good form in the spring but she went a little bit off the boil. She's had a little break and we've freshened her up. This is her first run back and we're hoping she can get some black type. I'm not sure whether So I Told You will run or not yet.
Andy Slattery, trainer of Solene Lilyette
She's in great form and it's probably the first time all season she's got her proper ground. It's an open race and she looks to have as good a chance as any of them.
Dermot Weld, trainer of Zawara and Emaniya
Emaniya is consistent and she has already got two pieces of black type this season. She seems to be in good form and hopefully she can add to her black type. Zawara ran an excellent race at Leopardstown on Saturday, but we'll have to see what the ground is like. If they got a lot of rain she would be a doubtful runner.
Peter Fahey, trainer of Disco Boots
She has a lot to find on ratings but she will appreciate the ground. It looks an open race so hopefully she will run well.
