'He's the best bet on the card' - who does our panel fancy on Champions Day?

Does Baaeed just win, and if so who chases him home?

Martin Dixon, Racing TV Yes I think he wins. My only concern for him would have been if it had been genuine soft ground. I think he's in a league of his own in terms of horses in training in Europe. I suspect Bay Bridge might chase him home. They've given him plenty of time to freshen up again and he's a very solid ten-furlong horse who stays the trip very well.

James Hill, tipster He's a great of the turf and can cap an immaculate career with win number 11. Adayar is most likely to follow him home, but he was well beaten in this last year and I don't understand why Stone Age is such a big price. He was beaten less than three lengths in the Irish Champion Stakes last time and is worth a stab in the market without the favourite.

Keith Melrose, betting editor I think so. In theory Adayar will be among the classiest rivals he has faced, but I think he's a little better over 1m4f. For that reason, I would suggest Bay Bridge for the forecast. He has been kept fresh for this race and, for all I was disappointed with him in the Eclipse, his earlier form gives him a chance against an even remotely off-colour Adayar.
