Varian had his Ribblesdale Stakes runner-up among a select team he boxed over to use the watered gallop for bang on opening time at 6am. The daughter of Muhaarar mixed it with the talented but quirky Teona over a mile and was giving out the right signals under Cameron Noble. The three-year-old is booked for a rematch with her Royal Ascot conqueror Loving Dream in the Group 1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York next Thursday.
