Mohaather could be a game changer for Tregoning

There was no more popular winner at the meeting than Mohaather in Wednesday's Group 1 Sussex Stakes, although the exceptional miler might have felt a little hard done by with all the congratulations going to his trainer.

Marcus Tregoning's name is synonymous with Glorious Goodwood. The effervescent Panama wearer adores the meeting and, although it was essential personnel only at the track, almost everyone who was lucky enough to be there wanted to congratulate him after Mohaather's awesome performance.

Tregoning could have been forgiven for thinking his time at the top had long gone. Before Wednesday he had not celebrated a Group 1 winner since Sir Percy's heartwarming Derby success in 2006.
