'I think he's the banker' - Megan Nicholls and David Bass join our panel
The Cotswold Chase is Cheltenham’s feature. Who wins?
David Bass, jockey It's a very good race but I think if Protektorat and Noble Yeats repeat their runs from last time in the Betfair Chase and Many Clouds, it will be between them. I think the likes of Ahoy Senor have to improve to get to those two. I'd just side with Noble Yeats as I was really impressed with the way he picked up going towards the last at Aintree.
Jamie Hart, Tote I believe Noble Yeats can throw his hat into the ring as a genuine Gold Cup contender. He’s clearly got class and is versatile trip-wise. Frodon and Ahoy Senor should set up a perfect pace to sit off and his turn of foot should be deadly. Protektorat looks the obvious choice for the Exacta, while Sounds Russian looks a National type and could stay on for the final Trifecta spot.
Megan Nicholls, broadcaster I believe Protektorat will come out on top. He loves Cheltenham and should handle the ground, which is likely to be tacky.
