In an ideal world, of course, I would have preferred to have been back riding before November 30, but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel and the finishing line is in sight.
I have a proper target to aim at now and I'm determined to be in the best shape of my career when I return.
I went down to Plymouth instead of London on Wednesday to have the CT scan and I was fortunate to see Lee Humphreys, a consultant who specialises in the type of injury I suffered, at the city’s Derriford Hospital.
