Phoenix Thoroughbreds founder won't talk - so it's time the BHA demanded answers

In the coming weeks, in a courthouse near the southern tip of Manhattan, a trial is set to take place which could have significant ramifications for global horseracing.
Those with an interest in horses are unlikely to know who David Pike is, just like they probably did not know who Mark Scott was before his trial in the same New York court in November. At the end of that hearing, Scott was found guilty of laundering $400 million for the scammers behind the fake cryptocurrency OneCoin, which earned its founders a staggering $4 billion.
Scott, a former lawyer, was paid $50m for helping to wash the dirty money and, according to the FBI, Pike fulfilled the role of chief operating officer in the scheme, helping to move illicit money that OneCoin conned from people across the globe, including thousands of third world residents who gave up everything they owned to 'buy' the non-existent currency.
