The one thing that dominates my thoughts right now is getting back riding as soon as I possibly can.

As yet there is no confirmed time-scale. I still have the cast on my arm, but that’s coming off on Monday. I am due to have an x-ray, and we’ll know a lot more afterwards. I’ve given the elbow every chance to heal. The swelling has gone down, and I have a great range of movement.

As soon as the doctor gives me the thumbs-up I can really get stuck into some serious fitness work. That’s not to say I’ve become unfit during my spell on the sidelines. Far from it. I know my body, and I’m pretty happy with my fitness.
