Exciting If You Say Run has huge chance in mares' final and is the one to beat
Newbury’s final jumps meeting of the season is usually run on some nice spring ground, but the wet weather shows no sign of relenting and conditions are sure to be testing on Saturday.
I would be even more confident about the chance of If You Say Run in the £40,000 EBF & TBA Mares’ 'National Hunt' Novices’ Hurdle Finale (3.15) granted a sounder surface, but still believe she’ll take the beating.
She did really well to finish second to Midnight Tune on heavy ground at Sandown last month and this race has been the target ever since. If You Say Run travelled into the race really well that day and the easier track at Newbury should suit her better. She’s a very nice mare with a bright future and I give her a big chance despite those ground reservations.
