Exciting Clan Des Obeaux the pick of my rides this weekend
It’s a busy weekend, with six rides at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day. I can’t wait to get back on Clan Des Obeaux in the BetBright Dipper Novices’ Chase (1.25), having been injured when he won so impressively at Newbury last month.
That Grade 2 has a history of producing decent performers and I'm sure Clan Des Obeaux has a bright future. He looks my best ride of the two days.
I start off on Sunday with Belmount for my dad Nige in the Watch Live Racing On BetBright.com Handicap Chase (12.50). He has crept up the handicap after his wins at Newton Abbot and Hereford in the autumn, but is capable of a good display in what looks a highly competitive affair with 17 declarations.
