Everyone is obsessed with Cheltenham at present. In jump racing everything builds up nicely into the four days of festival week, but don’t let’s forget the other important fixtures at Aintree, Ayr and Sandown that come afterwards.

I understand we are due plenty more rain over the weekend so it could be one of those rare years when the ground at Cheltenham is soft. However, it’s still too soon to be making accurate predictions on that particular front.
