One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday

Trainer

John and Thady Gosden hold a strong hand in the £120,000 Cambridgeshire Handicap (3.40) with market leaders Magical Morning and Uncle Bryn.

Frankie Dettori opts for Magical Morning, who just missed out by a head at York last month, with Robert Havlin taking the ride aboard Uncle Bryn, who bounced back from a long absence when winning well at Ascot last time out.

Ultra Chic (1.15), the unraced Lady Xenia (4.15) and Godolphin's Tinderbox (4.50) also offer significant interest for the father-son training combination.

Jockey

Away from the action at Newmarket, Paul Mulrennan boasts a strong book of rides at Haydock. Call Me Ginger (3.15) seeks a fourth win on the spin for Jim Goldie following victories in valuable handicaps at Hamilton, Doncaster and Ayr.

Jawwaal looks to have a live chance (2.40) for Michael Dods but will need to perform better than when fourth at the track this month.

The unraced Hugo Palmer-trained Asean Legend (1.30) could complete a memorable day for Mulrennan, should the £78,000 yearling deliver on debut.

Horse

Christophe Soumillon makes the trip across from France to reunite with the Richard Fahey-trained Perfect Power, who stayed on strongly to land the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny at Deauville when last seen in August.

Soumillon's willingness to travel could indicate how highly he regards the two-year-old, who will be looking to make it successive top-level victories in the Middle Park Stakes (3.00).

Race

The £250,000 Cheveley Park Stakes (2.25) is a wide open renewal featuring a rematch between the Lowther Stakes 1-2 Zain Claudette and Sandrine.

The 6f Group 1 also has the the unbeaten Juddmonte-owned Sacred Bridge, who tackles Group 1 company for the first time for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane after taking the Group 3 Round Tower Stakes in impressive fashion last time out.

Flotus, who bounced back to form in a Listed race at Ripon at the end of last month for Simon and Ed Crisford, as well as course-and-distance winner Desert Dreamer add further interest to the contest which also features Charlie Fellowes's first Group winner in Britain, Eve Lodge.
