One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday
One trainer
Ralph Beckett is seeking his first Classic success in just under four years and he has two big chances in the Kerrygold Irish Oaks (5.10) at the Curragh. It may be confusing for the commentator with his similarly named runners Antonia De Vega and Manuela De Vega carrying the same silks of Waverley Racing, but they both have big chances in the Group 1 event.
Elsewhere Dolphin Vista features in Listed company at Newbury, while Beckett has chances around Britain with Lope Scholar at Newmarket, Rowland Ward at Ripon and Rosadora at Doncaster.
One jockey
Silvestre de Sousa has an eyecatching book of rides at Newbury on Saturday, most notably in the opener where he rides Fox Chairman. The three-year-old endured poor luck in running when second in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot and he now looks to land the Listed bet365 Stakes (1.50).
De Sousa also rides Chester Cup winner Making Miracles in the valuable Marsh Cup (2.25) and Donjuan Triumphant in the Group 3 bet365 Hackwood Stakes (3.00), before partnering Bettys Hope in the feature Weatherbys Super Sprint (3.40)
One horse
Longhouse Sale is seeking his eighth consecutive victory in the Betway Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen (2.10) for Dan and Harry Skelton.
It is hard to judge the strength of his form considering he has been scoring in novice company at long odds-on, but he remains an exciting prospect for the jumps season and it will certainly be interesting to see if he can preserve his fine record carrying top weight.
One race
The Kerrygold Irish Oaks is Saturday's feature event with a field of ten set to clash at the Curragh.
Pink Dogwood, beaten in the British edition, takes on dual Group 1 heroine Iridessa, while the British challengers include Manuela De Vega, Antonia De Vega and Royal Ascot winner Star Catcher.
