Librisa Breeze, who caught the eye as a fast-finishing fourth in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes on the final day of Royal Ascot, could be set an overseas assignment, with trainer Dean Ivory on Sunday ruling out supplementing him to the Darley July Cup.

Ivory, who also saddled Lancelot Du Lac to finish tenth in the Wokingham, said: "I'm delighted with both of my horses, they ran their hearts out.

"Librisa ran an absolute blinder and got no luck. I’m not saying he'd have won with a clear run but he wouldn't have been far away."

It was the horse's first start of the season and Ivory said: "We had him bang on for yesterday and it's a great credit to my team. People thought I was mad taking him there without a prep run, but we've got him there to run that good a race and it's a remarkable effort from everyone at home."

He added: "We won't be going to the July Cup, the track won't suit him.

"We might look at going back up to seven furlongs and ideally we'd want the ground just a little bit softer. We've looked into plenty of options, including going to France or Germany, but we’re in no rush to decide."

Stable favourite Lancelot Du Lac showed up for a long way in the Wokingham 40 minutes later and Ivory said: "Lance probably found that trip a bit too much, ideally he wants five and a half furlongs or six on the all-weather. We'll stick with good handicaps and Listed races.

"Goodwood's a different sort of track but you'd imagine he'd be the right sort for a Stewards' Cup if we decide on that. I'm lucky with my owners that they let us be patient and do what we think is best."

Goodwood is also an option for Hunt Cup winner Zhui Feng. Trainer Amanda Perrett reported on Sunday: "We'll wait and see what happens with the handicapper on Tuesday and decide from there.

"I think we'd like to stick to handicaps with him if we can, either the Mile at Goodwood or the International back at Ascot."
