Fog was a major hindrance to all throughout Saturday morning, so full marks to David Egan who was among the pathfinders on the Limekilns round gallop on his Qipco Champion Stakes mount. You could barely see 100 yards ahead as the Juddmonte International winner cast a ghostly figure behind his lead horse over a mile, but he could not be in better shape for his second appearance on Champions Day.
