Lostintranslation 'looking perfect' in preparation for Betfair Saturday showdown

Joe Tizzard says Lostintranslation is too big a price for the Gold Cup and is in exceptional form as he prepares to defend his Betfair Chase crown at Haydock on Saturday.

The eight-year-old finished just over a length behind Al Boum Photo when third at Cheltenham in March, but he is available at odds as big as 14-1 to claim jump racing's greatest crown this season.

If he does he will emulate stablemate Native River, who finished third to Sizing John in the 2017 Gold Cup before getting the better of Might Bite in a memorable battle 12 months later.
