Fill your boots with this Euro 2020 Yankee to delight coincidence backers
With Euro 2020 under way, there will be plenty of punters searching for 'coincidence runners' to put in their Yankee bets on Saturday.
Keeper’s Choice (3.10 Bath) is a must. There will be plenty of top-class goalkeepers on show over the next few weeks, but perhaps none as promising as the Italy number one Gianluigi Donnarumma.
On the subject of Italian goalkeepers, those of a certain vintage will recall the legendary Dino Zoff, who captained his team to success at the 1982 World Cup. General Zoff, who contests the 1m6f handicap (4.35) at Sandown, may not be as well known, but he’s got a solid chance against hat-trick-seeking Sulochana in an interesting race.
Hot Team (4.30 Chester) picks himself. Which nation will follow 2016 winners Portugal onto the roll of honour? Portugal and France have many admirers, while England are expected to put up a bold show too. Maybe one of this trio will be the hot team of the summer.
Switzerland are 80-1 shots outright but will be fancied by many to beat Wales in their opening Group A game. Will it be a case of Perfect Swiss? A horse of that name runs in the 1m1f handicap York (4.50).
