It was a fruitful evening in Kranji for Fran Berry and Robert Havlin with both riders celebrating winners for Team UK in the inaugural Premier Gateway International Jockeys Challenge, which was won by Team Australia.

In similar vein to the Shergar Cup, points are allocated to each jockey for their finishing position and the team with the most points wins.

Captained by Hayler Turner, Team UK had two winners from the four legs staged, with Havlin scoring on O'Reilly Star for trainer Mark Walker and Berry victorious on McGregor for Michael Clements.

This was not the first time Berry had tasted success at the track. He spent two months in Singapore nine years ago, riding four winners from 30, and the experience was clearly not lost on him.

Kerrin McEvoy (Team Australia) and Aldo Domeyer (Team South Africa) rode the other two winners on the card, while Team Asia were out of luck on the day with no first placed finishes.
