ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the 12 races on ITV on Friday
ITV will be broadcasting a bumper 12 live races on Friday, with seven afternoon races on ITV4 and five Breeders' Cup events in the evening on ITV3.
1.30 Down Royal
Irish Stallion Farms EBF Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle, 2m1f
This Grade 3 often proves a valuable guide to the mares for the remainder of the jumps season and looks a competitive heat. The Model Kingdom is unbeaten in the jumps sphere but will have four Willie Mullins-trained winners snapping at her heels.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: CHAMPAGNE PROBLEM
Won novice at Kilbeggan; turned over when favourite since but should have more to give
Betway 'Challenger' Mares' Handicap Hurdle, 2m5½f
Fergal O'Brien is leading the trainers' championship and could add to his tally with Mulberry Hill, who just held on to win at Carlisle last time. The Height Of Fame and Whisky Express also have strong claims.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: SHIROCCO'S DREAM
Well handicapped on her form around this time last year and needs shortlisting
Jezki took this in 2013 en route to Champion Hurdle glory in March. Pied Piper will be hard to beat.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: PIED PIPER
Just behind Fil Dor when third in Triumph and has a fitness edge now
Betway 'Future Stars' Silver Bowl Novices' Chase, 3m
Dual Grade 1-winning hurdler Thyme Hill will make his chasing debut against two sound performers in Press Your Luck and Flash Collonges, who have the benefit of experience having finished first and second at Chepstow last month.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: THYME HILL
Top-class staying hurdler who should be winning this with a trouble-free round
2.40 Down Royal
Start Your Free Trial Now At racingtv.com Handicap Chase, 2m½f
Gordon Elliott appears to hold the aces in this handicap chase. Six-year-olds The Greek and Gevrey will be bidding to give the trainer a first win in the race since former Grade 1 winner Realt Mor's success in 2016.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: GLADIATORIAL
Only beaten 1l over fences at Kelso last month, caught late; can go well from lower mark
3.00 Exeter
Betway 'Challenger' Stayers' Handicap Chase, 3m
Some useful types cross swords in this handicap chase. Minella Buster could still be well treated after winning at Kempton while Killer Kane showed quality form last term.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: SIZABLE SAM
0-2 over fences but potentially well handicapped for another go at it
3.35 Exeter
Betway Haldon Gold Cup, 2m1½f
This historic contest has been won by some of the greats. Last year's smart novices Third Time Lucki and War Lord will attempt to topple 2020 Haldon Gold Cup winner and three-time Grade 1 hero Greaneteen in receipt of weight.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: WAR LORD
Only defeats as a novice came in Grade 1s; this trip around here might be just the ticket
Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint, 5½f
Prix de l'Abbaye winner The Platinum Queen will have to navigate a wide draw in this furiously fast contest. The Queen Mary first and fourth, Dramatised and Love Reigns, could heap on early pressure.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: LOVE REIGNS
Behind Dramatised at Ascot but 2-2 in US, including over course and distance; jockey and trainer have won last three runnings
7.40 Keeneland
NetJets Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, 1m½f
Superstars Beholder and Songbird took this contest before going on to better things. The Frizette and Alcibiades Stakes are key formlines with Chocolate Gelato and Chop Chop appealing most.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: CHOP CHOP
Only just failed to reel in Wonder Wheel on first go on dirt in C&D Grade 1 Alcibiades
Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, 1m
The Richard Fahey-trained Midnight Mile holds strong claims of becoming the first British-trained winner since Chriselliam in 2013, but Coolmore filly Meditate sets a high standard. Both are drawn wide.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: XIGERA
Had Delight behind on debut, won next time (both turf); good run on dirt latest
9.00 Keeneland
FanDuel Breeders' Cup Juvenile presented by T'bred Aftercare Alliance, 1m½f
Arrogate colt Cave Rock has already won two Grade 1s in the Del Mar Futurity and American Pharoah Stakes and will be bidding to give Bob Baffert back-to-back wins in the race after Corniche's victory last year.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: BLAZING SEVENS
Third to Forte before improving to win the Grade 1 Champagne over a mile at Aqueduct; contender
9.40 Keeneland
Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, 1m
Godolphin took this race in dramatic circumstances last year with Modern Games and Autumn Stakes winner Silver Knott looks a worthy favourite.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: SILVER KNOTT
Won two 7f-1m Group 3s in Britain; trainer has won this three times including last year
