ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the 11 ITV races on Saturday

1.45 York
John Smith's Racing Handicap, 1m

Hunt Cup sixth Isla Kai could strike now back in a smaller field which includes course-and-distance winners Eilean Dubh, Challet, Blenheim Boy and Garden Oasis.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: CHALLET

Front-runner; excuse latest and good placed efforts over 7f here before that; respected

2.05 Newmarket
Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa Fillies' Handicap, 7f

Shadwell's filly Kidwah won her first two starts and steps into handicap company off a workable looking opening mark of 88. Truely Acclaimed also bids for a hat-trick.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: VICTORIA GROVE

Made all in 7f all-weather event at Lingfield five weeks ago; form boosted since; interesting

John Smith's Silver Cup Stakes (Group 3), 1m6f

John Leeper aims to reverse the form of last month's course-and-distance defeat to Without A Fight. Yorkshire Cup runner-up Thunderous is respected returning to the Knavesmire.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: THUNDEROUS

Excellent efforts in defeat from 1m5f to 2m this season and goes particularly well here

2.40 Newmarket
bet365 Mile Handicap, 1m

Bay Of Honour makes his handicap debut for Charlie Appleby while Christophe Soumillon has picked up the useful spare of Laasudood. Be Lucky My Son bids for a hat-trick.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: LAASUDOOD

Strong form for new yard this term; won at Doncaster (handicap debut); highly respected

3.00 Ascot
Betfred Heritage Handicap, 5f

Tabdeed disappointed in the Wokingham but does have course-winning form in the book. The progressive pair of Burning Cash and Lovely Mana aim to extend their winning sequences.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: MOUNTAIN PEAK

Goes well over course and distance and comes here on the back of a fine run at Epsom; contender

3.15 Newmarket
bet365 Superlative Stakes (Group 2), 7f

Victory Dance made a winning debut over course and distance last month and could be the one to beat. Lion Of War bolted up in a Newcastle novice and is interesting up in grade.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: LION OF WAR

Eased in the latter stages at Newcastle last time but still won by 10l; smart prospect

3.35 Ascot
Fred Cowley MBE Memorial Summer Mile Stakes (Group 2), 1m

Chindit has been running well behind Baaeed in top-level contests and is of serious interest dropping down in grade. My Oberon just edged out Modern News at Windsor last month and could confirm the form.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: MUTASAABEQ

Didn't look at home on the course when just behind Modern News at Epsom; improving

3.50 Newmarket
bet365 Bunbury Cup, 7f

Montassib, Jumby and Samburu all ran well enough in different races at Royal Ascot. The latter's sixth came in a Group 3 and the Juddmonte-owned three-year-old could be dangerous back in handicap company at the foot of the weights.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: MONTASSIB

Missed 2021; two impressive 7f wins before not clear run at Ascot; remains unexposed

4.05 York
John Smith's Cup Handicap, 1m2½f

Mahrajaan has been beaten when favourite on his last two starts and has a bit to prove. Rogue Bear was beaten a head by a subsequent winner last time out and could go one better here.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: ANMAAT

Unraced since Cambridgeshire second last September; hugely respected with progressive profile

4.25 Newmarket
Darley July Cup Stakes (Group 1), 6f

The first three home in the Platinum Jubilee – Naval Crown, Creative Force and Artorius – are back for more but Perfect Power looks primed to follow up his Commonwealth Cup success.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: PERFECT POWER

Came with powerful run to win the Commonwealth Cup; now 3-3 in Group 1 races over 6f

4.40 York
John Smith's City Walls Stakes (Listed), 5f

Last year's winner Winter Power returns to York for the first time since her Nunthorpe win but will have to bounce back from two below-par showings in Group company so far this season.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: CITY WALK

Two all-weather wins this year, looking worth his place at this level latest; handles fast turf
