The history chasing never stops. Three days after doing something no woman had ever done before she was back on home soil trying to do something no woman has ever done before.

Rachael Blackmore is just 5-4 with Paddy Power to become Ireland's champion jockey in less than three weeks time. She arrived at Fairyhouse ten winners in arrears of Paul Townend. She went home nine behind. There are 11 jumps fixtures remaining.

The Grand National-winning rider was superb on Somptueux. Not seen since October, the six-year-old was quite fizzy through the early stages of the 2m5f rated novice chase, but Blackmore got him into a good rhythm and two fluent leaps up the home straight sealed the deal.
