'I think he will be a Graded horse' - key quotes for the Cheltenham Festival

The final day of the Cheltenham kicks off with a scintillating Triumph Hurdle clash (1.30), although the main event is unquestionably the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup (3.30). Last year's winner Minella Indo, A Plus Tard and Galvin sit at the top of the betting for a wide-open running of the festival's biggest race.

Read on for the day's most revealing quotes from all seven of today's Cheltenham races.

Day four racecards | Big-race tips | Watch In The Know

JCB Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) | 2m1f | 4yo+ | ITV/RTV

Milton Harris, trainer of Knight Salute:

"He's a competitive and combative individual and I suspect if we're on their heels at the last, they'll know they're in a street fight."

Overnight price: 20-1

2.10 CheltenhamMcCoy Contractors County Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3) | 2m1f | 5yo+ | ITV/RTV

Alan King, trainer of Tritonic:

"He worked well with Edwardstone last weekend and we'll go back to riding him more patiently this time. A strongly run two miles on a stiff track is ideal for him and, while he may not be handicapped to win a race like this, I still think he could run really well."

Overnight price: 28-1

2.50 CheltenhamAlbert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) | 3m | 4yo+ | ITV/RTV

Henry Daly, trainer of Hillcrest:

"Bar his little blip on Trials day, which was just one of those things, his season has gone incredibly well. He's progressed quickly since winning on his first start at Aintree, which was not run to suit. The rain this week is helpful from his point of view because it's led to safe ground. I'd have been getting nervous if it was fast ground."

Overnight price: 3-1

3.30 CheltenhamBoodles Cheltenham Gold Cup (Grade 1) | 3m2½f | 5yo+ | ITV/RTV

Gordon Elliott, trainer of Galvin:

"He seems to love Cheltenham too, as you saw in last year's National Hunt Chase, and it's possible there is actually more improvement to come from him. He's been working very well and I couldn't be any happier with him going into the race. I'm really looking forward to it."

Overnight price: 7-2

4.10 CheltenhamSt. James's Place Festival Challenge Cup Open Hunters' Chase | 3m2½f | 5yo+ | ITV/RTV

David Christie, trainer of Winged Leader:

"This is what I live for. This is the biggest prize in my eyes and it would mean everything to win it. It would mean everything to Barry O'Neill as well. He's done everything in point-to-point racing and this is the only thing missing from his CV. He's the best horse I have ever brought to Cheltenham."

Overnight price: 11-2

4.50 CheltenhamMrs Paddy Power Mares' Chase (Grade 2) | 2m4½f | 5yo+ | RTV

Gordon Elliott, trainer of Mount Ida:

"I'm delighted with her. She just seems to be a much sweeter mare this season. She's jumping a lot better and everything is a lot smoother. I couldn't knock the form of her two wins. She looks a rock-solid contender."

Overnight price: 2-1

5.30 CheltenhamMartin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle | 2m4½f | 4yo+, 0-145 | RTV

Peter Fahey, trainer of Freedom To Dream:

"He's in good form and has a lovely racing weight. The easier ground will help him and I think he'll run a huge race. I think he will end up being a proper Graded horse over fences and that's the calibre of horse it takes to win this race. I think this is the best form that I've ever had him in to be honest."

Overnight price: 25-1
