'I didn't sleep on Tuesday night' - Oisin Murphy rues the one that got away
Oisin Murphy admitted he was unable to sleep after losing on the Queen's King's Lynn in Tuesday's King's Stand Stakes, but spoke of his joy at being crowned top jockey at Royal Ascot for the first time in a week of high emotion.
A Group 1 success on Alcohol Free was among five wins for the champion jockey, who could have had six but for Dragon Symbol losing the Commonwealth Cup in the stewards' room.
Murphy got a four-day ban for that ride but ended the week two wins clear of closest title rival William Buick, who scored three times at the meeting but faces an 11-day suspension for his use of the whip in winning the Ascot Stakes.
