Homebred win would be 'so special' for Shadwell as Zeyaadah leads Epsom assault

The Cazoo Derby festival could turn into a landmark two days for Shadwell Stud as the organisation founded by the late Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum gets set to saddle some major contenders in the meeting's three Group 1s.

Shadwell was rocked by the unexpected loss of the legendary owner-breeder in March, and with leading players in the Cazoo Derby, Oaks and Coronation Cup, those at the organisation's heart are readying themselves for what may be a poignant two days at Epsom.

Racing manager Angus Gold said: "We're obviously all very excited as it is great to be involved in these kinds of big days. I can't remember the last time we had potential runners in the Derby, the Oaks and the Coronation Cup, let alone three with good chances on form.
