Hat-trick-seeking Altior and Ascot conqueror Cyrname among Champion Chase entry
Altior heads 31 entries for the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase on March 11 after trainer Nicky Henderson confirmed earlier in the week that he is not entered in the Ryanair Chase.
Cyrname, the top-rated chaser in training who ended Altior's 19-race unbeaten run in the Christy 1965 Chase at Ascot in November, is one of six entries including last year's runner-up Politologue for champion trainer Paul Nicholls, who is looking for a sixth win in the race.
Defi Du Seuil, the ante-post 7-2 second favourite, is one of two entries for owner JP McManus, who also has last year's fourth Hell's Kitchen.
A Plus Tard and Chacun Pour Soi, who fought out the finish to the Paddy Power-sponsored Grade 1 Chase at Leopardstown on December 27, have been entered in both the Champion Chase and Ryanair.
Willie Mullins tops the numerical charts with seven entries, with Chacun Pour Soi and Cilaos Emery the most prominent in the ante-post betting.
Min, second in 2018, Douvan, who fell four out when still travelling well in that race, and 2018 Arkle winner Footpad are other entries for Mullins along with Tingle Creek runner-up Un De Sceaux.
Frodon, Aso and Road To Respect, who fought out a thrilling finish to last year's Ryanair Chase, feature in the 44 entries, split equally between Britain and Ireland, for this year's Grade 1 on March 12.
Previous Ryanair winners Un De Sceaux, fifth last year after his 2018 success, and Balko Des Flos (2017) are also entered along with Peterborough Chase principals, Top Notch and Kauto Riko.
