Ruth Jefferson has lost Waiting Patiently, the horse who gave her a hugely emotional Grade 1 win at Ascot the day after her father's funeral.

She will no longer train the high-class ten-year-old, who has been moved from her Malton yard by owner Richard Collins to join Christian Williams.

Jefferson took over the licence when Malcolm Jefferson died in February 2018 and almost immediately sent out Waiting Patiently to floor Cue Card in the Betfair Ascot Chase, putting up a brilliant performance as he cruised to victory under Brian Hughes.
