A major non-runner in the bet365 Summit Juvenile Hurdle (2.40) has driven market support for Impulsive One to claim a first Graded success at Doncaster on Saturday.

The Nicky Henderson-trained runner suffered his first defeat over hurdles at Kempton in October and has been backed into 4-1 (from 8) to overturn the form against winner Knight Salute in the 2m½f race.

With leading fancy Magistrato declared a non-runner due to lameness, Impulsive One is left with six rivals for the Graded contest, headed by the unbeaten Porticello for the father-son team of Gary and Jamie Moore at 7-4.

Nicky Henderson will be hoping for across-the-card Graded success over at Cheltenham, where Fusil Raffles has moved to contest favouritism for Cheltenham's Racing Post Gold Cup (1.50) at 11-2 (from 8) with Midnight Shadow.

The six-year-old was a fortuitous winner of the Charlie Hall Chase on his last outing in October after favourite Shan Blue fell at the third-last fence when 20 lengths clear.

He has two wins from five starts at Cheltenham on his record and now vies to head the betting in the 2m4½f contest against the Sue Smith-trained Midnight Shadow, winner of last month's Paddy Power Gold Cup.

Overnight favourite Lalor, the Paddy Power Gold Cup third on his first start for for trainer Paul Nicholls, has drifted a little in the morning betting but still sits close to the market leaders at 7-1.

Showers expected at Cheltenham as going remains unchanged

The going remains good to soft, good in places for the second day of the International meeting at Cheltenham.

ITV4 are broadcasting four of Cheltenham's seven-race card which also features the Grade 2 Unibet International Hurdle (3.00), in which last year's winner Song For Someone and the fourth home that day Sceau Royal jointly head the market at 11-4.

New Cheltenham clerk of the course Jon Pullin said: "We were dry overnight and temperatures dipped to below zero just for a couple of hours in the early morning, but we were up to plus five by 6.30am.

"The going remains good to soft, good in places and there's a risk of some showers later on but nothing too big in volume. It's not moving in until later today, so we should be okay.
