Ribchester’s overall profile suggests the three-year-old son of Iffraaj is still improving - and that’s not good news for his 12 rivals.

After landing the Group 3 Jersey Stakes in June, Ribchester finished a close third behind The Gurkha and Galileo Gold in the Sussex Stakes prior to notching his first Group 1 success in Deauville’s Prix Jacques le Marois, beating Vadamos by half a length.

Blessed with a smart turn of foot, the Richard Fahey-trained star made his seasonal reappearance in April, although the QEII will be only his sixth start of 2016.
