Anticipating the next great champion

Dewhurst Stakes

As someone who starts counting the days down to the Brocklesby minutes after the November Handicap has been run, I could try to make a case for the first juvenile race of the turf season as my favourite, but instead I'll go for one of the last instead.

The Dewhurst Stakes so often serves as a pointer to the following season and the Classic aspirations of those involved at the business end. It may not always be the most compelling race, but it is often one of the most informative.
