'It's taken a while but she's back to herself' - a morning with Nicky Henderson
We've sent our deputy Ireland editor David Jennings to Britain to explore the British jumps scene for a four-part series across Cheltenham's November meeting. In part two, he spends a morning with Nicky Henderson at Seven Barrows
According to intensive research carried out by your tour guide, Seven Barrows was one of the first areas to have been cleared by early humans during the Bronze Age.
I couldn't find any official records to say whether Nicky Henderson was one of those early humans doing the clearing and carrying out the construction of the burial mounds but, what I do know is that for four decades he has been constructing an empire which has unearthed some of the best jumpers to have graced this great game of ours.
