In the first of our quickfire question and answer features, Stayers' Hurdle-winning rider Adam Wedge shares his thoughts
Give your season a mark out of ten
I'd have to say ten out of ten, it's been my best season with two Grade 1 winners and one at the Cheltenham Festival. It's been fantastic, 100 per cent. It's better than I could ever have imagined.
What gave you the most satisfaction?
It's hard to pick between the two Grade 1 races I won. The first, with Esprit Du Large in the Henry VIII Novices' Chase, gave me a lot of satisfaction, because it was from Evan [Williams], and William and Angela Rucker. That meant a lot. But a Cheltenham Festival winner with Lisnagar Oscar is just unbelievable. We work every day hoping you've got a horse good enough for those races.
