Harry Skelton: Shishkin was impressive in the Supreme - he looks to have it all
How many marks out of 10 would you rate this season?
Nine out of ten. It's a shame the season was cut short because I fell just short of 100 winners but it's been a fantastic year but there's always room for improvement.
If you could relive one moment this season, what would it be?
Pretty straightforward one – Politologue winning the Champion Chase. It's the pinnacle of the two mile division and he was brilliant. Obviously, I rode him because Harry Cobden couldn't, but if I am given the chance again I'll look forward to it.
What could you have done better?
Made fewer mistakes.
What gave you most satisfaction?
Allmankind. He had a terrific season winning a Grade 1 and finishing second in the Triumph.
If you could ride one horse in training who would it be?
The Supreme winner Shishkin. Everything that could go wrong did and he still won. He has it all and looks set for a big future.
Give us a horse you ride to follow for next season?
Cadzand for my brother Dan. He's ran well in defeat this season, but is an exciting one for the future.
And a horse you don't ride?
Goshen. He was going to put up a terrific performance in the Triumph before falling.
Who was the horse of the season?
Epatante. She looks a terrific mare and was hugely impressive in all her starts and obviously winning the Champion Hurdle sets her apart from the rest.
What aspirations do you have for next season?
I'd like to just keep riding winners in the very best races. Maybe in a few years time I'll be in a position to go for champion jockey.
How are you keeping busy in the lockdown?
Lots of mowing and strimming and playing a lot of Scrabble.
