Expert Eyecatchers: four Saturday runners who catch the eye of our analysts
Racing Post analysts select an eyecatcher after every meeting and here we highlight a selection of Saturday runners who have been put up as horses to watch. . .
Hayadh
1.50 Musselburgh
Analyst note: Will hold strong claims next time out
Hayadh ran a solid race when third here 18 days ago and Rebecca Bastiman's runner can take a step forward once again. The six-year-old was a winner over course and distance off 1lb lower in October and can make the frame once again.
Zarandi
3.40 Cork
Could benefit from dropping back in trip
The Aga Khan's runner finished fifth on debut at Leopardstown and the son of Scat Daddy shaped as if a drop to seven furlongs would prove ideal. He can improve from his debut run, and now tested over a shorter distance, he looks to have strong claims for trainer Dermot Weld.
Made a promising debut for his new connections
Cairnshill shaped well when second behind a fancied rival at this venue a month ago. He faces a 3lb rise in the weights this time, but can improve from that run and has experience over this course and distance.
Finished well after missing the break in an encouraging debut
The Richard Spencer-trained runner finished third on his debut at Windsor 12 days ago and the two-year-old can build on that effort at Nottingham. The fifth-placed horse, Copacabana Dancer, has won since so expect a bold effort here.
