The day after his audacious pillar-to-post success in the world's most famous Flat race aboard Serpentine, Emmet McNamara was still trying to catch his breath at Chantilly ahead of a third Classic mission in nine days.

While much of the racing world is busy trying to dissect how Serpentine was able to get away from his pursuers with apparent ease, the man on board is in no doubt that the winning horse deserves plenty of credit.
