De Sousa whittles down Crowley lead to one

Silvestre de Sousa moved within a solitary win of current leader Jim Crowley in the race for the Stobart Jockeys' title after landing the Listed Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster.

De Sousa struck on the Clive Cox-trained filly Priceless to take his tally to 89, but was unable to add to that total in his other rides at the track, which were reduced to two after Town Charter was declared a non-runner in the opener.

"You count every winner and we'll see how far we can go," he said. "I just want to ride winners and at the end of the day I'm still having a good season.
