Leading Randox Grand National hope Burrows Saint will aim to get back to winning ways and enhance Willie Mullins' record-breaking streak in the Bobbyjo Chase (2.52) at Fairyhouse on Saturday, with the run more importantly qualifying him for Aintree in April.

The 2019 Irish Grand National hero was one of the leading contenders for the Grand National last year before the cancellation of the race due to Coronavirus pandemic, and has only been seen once this season when well-beaten on his comeback in the Galmoy Hurdle in January.

However, all roads lead to Aintree once again this season for Burrows Saint, who is a best-priced 20-1 for National glory. He will be guaranteed a run in this year's race following his run in the Grade 3, which Mullins has won ten times, as runners in the Grand National must have run once over fences this season by March 23.

Burrows Saint heads a field of five which includes Anibale Fly, who also qualifies to run again at Aintree as he makes his return from a 356-day layoff.

The Grade 3 Red Mills Trial Hurdle (1.45) has been transferred from Gowran Park with six runners declared, including Morgiana third Jason The Militant, while six have also been declared for the Grade 3 Noran Colfer Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle (1.10), which was won by last year's Triumph Hurdle heroine Burning Victory.

Few jockeys get the opportunity to ride their first winner of the season on the big-race stage of a Saturday, but conditional jockey Harry Kimber will aim to secure the biggest victory of his burgeoning career aboard Mister Malarky in the Grade 3 Close Brothers Handicap Chase (3.35).

The 7lb claimer, who primarily rides for Colin Tizzard, has not enjoyed success in 58 rides this campaign, but has been trusted with the ride on last year's winner of the race. Mister Malarky will be joined by stablemate Slate House.

The 18-strong field also includes last year's runner-up Black Corton, the classy Al Dancer and Aso, who was second in the Ryanair in 2019. Jonjo O'Neill and son Jonjo O'Neill Jr will bid for more big-race weekend glory with Young Wolf following Soaring Glory's victory in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury last Sunday.

Paul Nicholls will be hoping to plunder a handful of big-race prizes this weekend with the exciting Atholl Street headlining the trainer's formidable team at Kempton in the Sky Bet Dovecote Novices' Hurdle (3.00). Nicholls is also represented by Tamaroc Du Mathan in the Pendil Novices' Chase (1.50) as he bids for an 11th victory in the Grade 2.

At Newcastle the Vertem Eider Handicap Chase is the feature, with 12 horses declared for the stamina-sapping 4m1½f test (3.15). Crosspark, successful in the race in 2019, is seeking to win successive renewals following the race's cancellation due to the weather last year.

At Lingfield, the unexposed Father Of Jazz will attempt to continue his rapid rise through the ranks and heads a select field of five for the Group 3 Betway Winter Derby (2.40), while seven have been declared for the Listed Betway Hever Sprint stakes (2.05). Both contests will be broadcast as part of a seven-race programme on ITV4.
