Last year Alpinista won this en route to winning the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe so will we see another contender for the Longchamp race?

York Ebor festival races to watch + how to spend your Paddy Power free bet
The Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks (3.35) featuring Savethelastdance and Bluestocking is the day's showpiece event at York. The big race follows the competitive Clipper Handicap (3.00), in which Akhu Najla looks unexposed in a field of well-known performers. What do our Spotlight experts make of it all?
York brings out the best in BLUE FOR YOU and the topweight can win this race for the second consecutive season. Point Lynas wasn't seen to best effect in the Royal Hunt Cup last time but his close second over C&D in May represents strong form and he is second choice. Three-time course winner Northern Express is in the form of his life and is next on the list, while Akhu Najla and Terwada are unexposed and others to consider. Ben Hutton
Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks (3.35 York)
There are positives about the whole field in what looks a highly competitive renewal. The negative for Savethelastdance appears to be the likely ground which will make it more difficult for her to rally in time after getting outpaced. She managed it on soft ground in the Irish Oaks but it's forecast good to firm here and that may hand the initiative to the Irish Oaks runner-up BLUESTOCKING, who is lightly raced and improving. Warm Heart had a much better run through the race than the selection in the Ribblesdale but scored in good enough style to be taken seriously if bouncing back from her modest show in the Irish Oaks. The chief danger, however, could be Al Husn who is not nailed on to be suited by 1m4f, at this first attempt, but keeps improving and that brought her a 1m2f Group 1 success three weeks ago.
