Tina can prove too hot for her rivals to handle

BALLYDOYLE TINA, winner of the Puppy Oaks at Shelbourne Park last month, can book her spot in another Dublin showdown by taking the second semi-final of the €15,000-to-the-winner Bernard Barry Christmas Oaks at 9.34 tonight.
One of four Graham Holland-trained bitches in the race, the fast-starting June 24 youngster has been in impressive form in both previous rounds and can once again call the shots.
Main market rival is likely to be kennelmate and defending champion Silverhill Freya, but Ballydoyle Tina can make good use of her draw immediately inside the Towcester Empress Stakes queen in trap three to cut a dash and take charge.
Laurels champion Magical On Fire was behind Ballydoyle Tina in last week’s second round but is better drawn on the inside in tonight’s second semi at 9.18 and Pat Guilfoyle’s talented bitch is expected to take full advantage.
She found early trouble from trap five last week but faces a far more straightforward path to the bend now and can make all in a good contest where Jimmy Melia’s 2024 Oaks dead-heater A Lucky Julie also looks set for a smooth run out wide.
Richest race on the card is the €4,000 Gold Collar A1 550 final at 9.02, with Dolores Ruth’s semi-final winner Razldazl Kamaria fancied to win the early battle with Vincent McKenna’s Frenchfort Madam and then keep his rivals at bay.
